STUDY ACCESS ALLIANCE

EMPOWER PEOPLE
WITH FUTURE SKILLS

Our goal: Make university education accessible for everyone

With a scholarship program for high-quality online degrees at internationally accredited universities

The challenge: A growing gap in university access in Africa & relevance of skills for employers

Only ~9% of the young population in Sub-Saharan Africa is enrolled in higher education, around 4 times less than the world average. But the demand for higher education is around 2-4 times higher than available spaces.

At the same time, unemployment rates among university graduates in Africa are high today. To change this, workforce fit is key – employers are looking for highly qualified people with relevant knowledge and soft skills.

What if we could close the gap with high quality, highly scalable online university education with great employability?

The Study Access Alliance aims to do just that.

We want to provide 100,000 full scholarships for online degrees at top universities to people in African countries.

By making university education with a focus future skills and employability accessible to financially disadvantaged students on a large scale, the initiative reduces inequalities, solves pressing digital skills needs, and thereby contributes to overall sustainable economic development.
